Calling COM functions with optional parameters from Delphi #Delphi

Craig Stuntz posted about how to use Delphi to call a COM method with optional parameters.

(I vaguely knew there was a way to do this, but it's been a while, and I didn't remember the exact name EmptyParam. So it's good to have this info around as a reference.)
