Yes the speech was "purty" and Mr. Obama is a human being, but at the end of the day when you wipe away all of the "purty" talk and sybolism, Barak is still an incredibly savvy beltway politician. You don't get into the Senate of the United States by being a "regular Joe" human being. There is no "change" with Mr. Obama. IMNSHO, he's just another typical inside the beltway Washington politician running on an typical smokee and mirrors political theme of "change" when there is no change except for doing a cut and run from Iraq, increasing taxes, and pulling the trigger on all of the other political hot buttons of the political left--which Mr. Obama's current voting record shows he is firmly ensconced. I don't care what he says, show me what he's DONE. Mr. Obama will be another Jimmy Carter--a really nice guy who has no business being President of the United States.

You know - he talks pretty, and that's great. It'd be nice to have a president who could speak with both clarity and convinction. His speeches aren't written by him; some would say that undermines the "he talks pretty" advantage he has.

I say it doesn't. His speechwriter may prepare his speech, but it's still Obama who decides upon the tenor of his campaign, the ideas and values that will be celebrated and those that won't. The pretty words might not be directly his, but look at the ideas! Obama's got me looking at voting Democrat. I never thought I'd see the day.
