Books I recommend.
"BIG PHARMA: Exposing the global health care agenda" by Jacky Law.

"Loving What is" by Byron Katie

And Food and Mood books thats dicuss holistic health...here is one
"Food and Mood" by Elizabeth Somer.

I only recommend these because I am a Bipolar, ADD kind of gal apparently, but while medicine can be a useful tool, it can also be a PAIN in the butt. SO I try and avoid it at all costs, and even when I do have to take meds (lithium and adderall) I still remain active and eat as healthy as possible.

Best wishes and good luck!

I've never taken lithium but I have been test rat for a number of other designer ADD drugs. Addrall kept me wired until 2am whereas traditional anti-depressants put me to sleep by noon.

I thought the constant drowsiness was "just me" until I read a book called Good Night by Dr. Michael Breus - apparently it's not uncommon for antidepressants to cause severe daytime drowsiness.

As soon as I finished the book, I ran to my doctor and demanded a different medication. While I'm not sure how this one is going to turn out at least I know that my extreme drowsiness isn't "just me."
ive been researching many different ADD meds and i really want a doctors opinion now but its so much money. id have to pay for a phsyc to meet me two times. then let them figure out what they thinks wrong with me. then theyd give me prescription. from the research i think adderall would work for me....yawwnnn. as for the sleep. i sleep to much as it is so i dont think that would be to much of a problem. cant wait to try it out

I read your article and I just wanted to say I have been on Lithium for 20 years and I have become sick as a dog. I am not sleeping, I have the runs, upset stomach and I feel terrible. My levels are on the "therapuetic" level and my doctor does not want me to go off of it. I have went from 1050mgs to 350 mgs and my runs are gone and I am just now sleeping just a couple hours a night. I am trying to get better, but I just want you to be aware that everyone has different side effects and to be careful of toxicity, like I ended up getting. It has been weeks since a good night sleep and I blame it on the lithium. Be careful.

cg
